Cannabidiol or CBD is a cannabinoid that, unlike THC, is not psychoactive and has numerous beneficial properties. One of the most recommended forms to use it is oil, which is available in different concentrations. How do we choose the one that best suits our needs? Here is a small guide to help you choose the CBD concentration that is right for you.

What is meant by the percentage of CBD?

The CBD percentage refers to the concentration of cannabidiol contained in a product. For example, a 5% CBD oil in a classic 10 ml format contains 500 mg of CBD, while a 10% oil in the same format contains 1000 mg. The choice of the right percentage depends on your specific needs, the type of relief you are seeking, and your previous experience with CBD.

What factors to consider when choosing the CBD percentage?

Before choosing the CBD concentration that suits you, consider the following factors:

  • Experience with CBD
If this is your first time using CBD, it may be advisable to start with a lower percentage to see how your body reacts. For those who are already experienced, higher percentages can be used as support for specific issues.

  • Usage Objectives
Your personal needs are another determining factor in choosing the CBD percentage. If you want to relieve mild pain or light states of stress, you may not need a high concentration, while for chronic pain or chronic anxiety, a higher percentage might be more suitable.

  • Frequency of use
If you intend to use CBD only when necessary, for example to manage panic attacks, acute pain, or to cope with a temporary period of stress, you might opt for a higher concentration. This is because, with occasional use, you may prefer to achieve faster effects. A CBD concentration ranging from 15% to 30% would therefore help you reach the desired level of relief more quickly, without having to use the product frequently throughout the day. If you plan to use CBD multiple times a day instead, as part of your routine to promote relaxation and soothe pain, a medium percentage, from 5% to 15%, might be sufficient.

Also keep in mind that CBD is one of the cannabinoids most difficult to keep stable during the cultivation process, especially above a certain percentage. Therefore, be sure to check that excessively high percentages (40% and above) actually correspond to the mg of cannabidiol present in the product.

CBD Percentage Guide

Now that you know the factors to consider, let's take a closer look at the benefits of the individual CBD concentrations:

  • Low CBD percentages (from 3 to 5%) : these are the lowest percentages at which CBD can be found and are perfect for those approaching CBD for the first time. Such a low percentage of CBD is still sufficient to experience the benefits of the molecule and to address stress, mild anxiety, and muscle tension.

  • Average CBD percentages (from 5 to 15%): the preferred percentages for those who use CBD regularly. CBD in these concentrations can be very useful in cases of acute pain, menstrual cramps, joint pain, anxiety, and panic attacks. They are suitable for daily use, even repeated.

  • High CBD percentages (15 to 30%): CBD percentages of this type are suitable for all people who are familiar with and regularly use cannabidiol. CBD at these concentrations is particularly effective for managing chronic pain, neuropathic pain, chronic anxiety, nervous exhaustion, and burnout. Such high percentages are also used as support for neurodegenerative diseases, osteoporosis, rheumatism, drug-resistant epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease.

Which percentage of CBD to choose?

10% is the ideal active ingredient concentration to get to know CBD and suits various needs.
One drop corresponds to 3 mg of CBD, the ideal dosage to start getting to know the molecule. With two drops, therefore 6 mg of CBD, you can already address migraines, menstrual pain, joint pain, and inflammation.
This percentage of CBD is often used by those who practice sports, even at a competitive level. The effectiveness of CBD against inflammation makes it a natural alternative to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, and opioids. The 10% is versatile and has been the first choice of our customers for many years. Try it even if it is your first time using CBD and start with a low application dosage, gradually increasing if necessary. This will allow you to understand how your body reacts to CBD without the risk of overdosing.

If you have already used CBD and believe you want to try higher percentages, try a percentage of 15% or more, always starting with a low and gradual application dosage.

If you want to use CBD for specific issues or diagnosed conditions, we recommend consulting a doctor who can assess the best CBD percentage for you.

Finally, consider that one drop of 3% oil equals 1 mg of CBD and one drop of 5% oil corresponds to 1.5 mg. One drop of 10% oil is equal to 3 mg of CBD, one drop of 24% oil corresponds to 7 mg, and one drop of 30% oil corresponds to 9 mg.

What is meant by high concentration CBD?

When we talk about a product with a high concentration of CBD or high CBD content, we refer to a product that contains a particularly high percentage of the active ingredient, usually from 20 to 30%.

High-concentration CBD is useful for those who need to relieve chronic pain, for those who want to naturally manage nervous exhaustion and burnout, and for those suffering from specific conditions such as drug-resistant epilepsy.

A high-concentration cannabidiol extract is also used in smaller amounts compared to a low-concentration product, ensuring maximum results in terms of benefits.

How much does a high-concentration CBD cost?

The price of a high-concentration CBD, therefore between 20 and 30% concentration, can range from 70 to 90 euros for a 10 ml size and from about 170 to 200 for a larger size, for example 30 ml.
